Inspired by the hieroglyphic symbols of Native-American artworks I decided to attempt to produce my own version of a totem. This piece depicts the story of life starting with the conception at the bottom and leading to death at the top. The various stages of growth are incorporated from youth to old age illustrating the physical transitions in ones life.
